If you have knowledge of any act of abuse being or having been perpetrated upon a child-victim, Tennessee Code Annotated § 37-1-403 requires that you report the incident of abuse to the appropriate authority. Failure to report abuse of which you have knowledge is a criminal offense in the State of Tennessee and punishable by law.
